It was a brutal week for me with 5 Bets. I went 1-4, with my only winner being Ole Miss covering against Auburn. I would like to ask my readers to hit me over the head with a shovel if I ever bet on Buffalo and lay the points. The Bills can’t cover anything.
5 Bets to Make this Week
Travis Etienne over 61.5 yards rushing
Isiah Pacheco anytime TD
Jonathan Brooks Over 119.5 yards rushing
USC-Cal Over 66 points
Georgia-Florida Under 49 points
With my shaky confidence at near bottom, I am going to mix it up this week. I am going to look at some prop bets, instead of picking winners against the spread in the NFL. We’ll see if that can get me back on the winning track. After last week, I really have nowhere to go but up.
Last week: 1-4, overall 13-10-1

Etienne Runs Over Steelers
Travis Etienne has been a reliable component of the Jacksonville Jaguars offense. The running back has been averaging 72 yards a game on the ground.
He should have another productive Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers have the fifth-worst defense against the run, allowing an average of 142.5 yards per game.
His last two games he failed to gain over 60 yards, but he faced two defenses that are much better at stopping the run.
Look for Jacksonville to utilize Etienne against Pittsburgh. Etienne will get his touches and should go Over the total of 61.5 yards.
Prediction: Travis Etienne Over 61.5 (-115 at BetMGM)

Score on Pacheco TD
The Kansas City Chiefs are facing the Denver Broncos on Sunday and Isiah Pacheco must be licking his chops. The running back has been a main reason the Chiefs have won five straight games.
Pacheco has scored four touchdowns during that span. Last week he got his first receiving touchdown of the season. Look for Patrick Mahomes to look for him again.
Being able to score on the ground and in the air against a team that doesn’t defend either that well, is a big reason I’m backing him to score on Sunday.
Prediction: Isiah Pacheco anytime TD (-105 at Caesars)
Watch: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS or fuboTV

Brooks Picks Up Slack
The Texas Longhorns are hosting the BYU Cougars on Saturday and will be without starting quarterback Quinn Ewers. Redshirt freshman Maalik Murphy is expected to get the start.
Murphy will have the comfort of home to help him ease into his first start. But I believe Texas will be relying more on starting running back Jonathan Brooks.
Brooks, since winning the starting job in the Wyoming game, has amassed 715 yards on 101 carries. That’s an average of 7.1 yards per carry. He has also had 17 of those runs going for at least 10 yards or more.
Couple that with a BYU run defense that is ranked 88th in the country and Brooks should have a very productive day.
Prediction: Jonathan Brooks Over 119.5 yards (+175 at BetRivers)
Watch: Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET, ABC or fuboTV
USC Takes it Out on Cal
The USC Trojans are an upset football team. They lost any shot at the College Football Playoff with last week’s tough loss to Utah. This Saturday they face a Cal Golden Bears team that have lost two straight, including a 20-point loss to Utah.
The Trojans are going to take it out on the Golden Bears. Quarterback Caleb Williams lost his chance to win back-to-back Heismans, but still wants to show that he is worthy of the NFL’s No. 1 pick.
Cal allows 31.1 points per game, as well as 407.6 yards a game. In the Trojans last 16 games, 15 have gone Over. This total will depend not so much on USC, but Cal. I think they score a couple of TDs as they are getting routed.
Prediction: USC-CAL Over 66 points (-114 at Unibet)
Watch: Saturday, 4 p.m. ET, Pac 12 Network or fuboTV
Georgia-Florida Points a Buzz Kill
The Georgia Bulldogs–Florida Gators game, billed as the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, is one of the SEC’s best rivalries.
It hasn’t been much of one lately, as Georgia has dominated the contests, winning five of the last six games.
I think Georgia wins this contest, but believe it will be a defensive battle. Both teams are coming off bye weeks and I am hoping that rust prevails in the first half. The total is 49 and I think Georgia wins 21-17, thus securing the Under.
Prediction: Georgia-Florida Under 49 points (-110 at Caesars)
Watch: Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET, CBS or fuboTV
