The 2024 World Series of Poker begins on May 28 and will run through July 17 at the Horseshoe Casino and Paris Casino in Las Vegas. This year will mark the 55th running of the most prestigious poker tournament series in the world. The 2024 WSOP will consist of 99 live events and each winner will also secure a coveted gold bracelet for their victory.
Poker players have multiple options to win a WSOP bracelet for under $400 this summer. The Gladiators of Poker returns on June 6 with an affordable buy-in of $300. Since its inception, the Colossus is one of the most popular events every summer in Las Vegas. The buy-in is only $400 and this year’s Colossus begins on June 28 with the first of several opening flights.

WSOP Main Event Has 4 Opening Flights
The prestigious $10,000 buy-in WSOP Main Event Championship begins on July 3 with four opening flights running through July 6. Late registration is available through 4:40 p.m. on Day 2a and Day 2b.
The Horseshoe Las Vegas will host the WSOP Main Event final table. The final nine will begin on July 16 and a champion will be crowned on July 17.
The 2023 WSOP Main Event set a new record with 10,043 entries. American pro Daniel Weideman was the last player standing and he banked $12.1 million for his epic run last summer.
The WSOP is on a mission to eclipse last year’s record-breaking field. GGPoker sent 774 runners to the WSOP Main Event via online satellites. This year, GGPoker will give away at least 1,000 packages.

New Events in 2024
The first event on the 2024 schedule is a special $5,000 buy-in Champions Reunion No-Limit Hold ‘em Freezeout. Players who knock out a former WSOP Main Event champion will earn a seat in the 2024 WSOP Main Event.
Event #16 $5,000 NL Hold ‘em 8-Handed is a four-day affair that begins on June 4 with a 50,000 starting stack.
Big-O fans will not want to miss Event #37 Big-O Championship on June 13. The five-card PLO Hi/Lo tournament has a $10,000 buy-in.
The 2024 WSOP will have its first-ever Mixed NL Hold ‘em and PLO Double Board Bomb Pot. The buy-in for Event #41 is $1,500 and it begins on June 15.
The usual buy-in for the Seniors Event is $1,000, but the 2024 WSOP includes a new high roller version for players 50 years and older. Event #65 Seniors High Roller has a $5,000 buy-in and begins on June 26.
If you’re visiting Las Vegas during the Fourth of July holiday, then take a shot at a bracelet with Event #80 Independence Day Celebration NL. The new event has a modest buy-in of $800. There will be two opening flights on July 3 and July 4.
During the Main Event, the WSOP will host a $1K NL bracelet event. Event #82 is a two-day tournament that begins on July 6 at 7 pm.
PLO fans will want to check out Event #86 Mystery Bounty PLO. The $1,000 buy-in PLO tournament has two opening flights on July 9 and July 10.
Old-school grinders are thrilled about the return of the $3,000 buy-in price point. Event #89 $3,000 Mid-Stakes Championship NL begins on July 11.
The WSOP also added a six-handed $1,500 PLO tournament near the end of the series. Event #90 begins on July 11 and players are allowed up to two re-entries.
WSOP High Rollers Between $25K and $250K
There are at least 11 events at the 2024 WSOP with a buy-in of $25,000. Six tournaments have a price tag of $50,000 and higher.
The 2024 Heads Up NL Hold ‘em Championship has a $25,000 buy-in and it is capped at 64 entrants. Event #6 begins on May 30. Canada’s Chanracy Khun edged out Doug Polk to win last year’s heads-up title.
Event #21 $25,000 High Roller NL Hold ‘em is a six-handed event that begins on June 6. Event #26 $25,000 High Roller NL Hold ‘em is an eight-handed event that kicks off on June 9.
The first $50,000 buy-in no-limit hold ’em High Roller begins on June 14 with Event #39. There’s another at the end of the series with Event #92 $50,000 High Roller NL which starts on July 12.
Event #47 $100,000 High Roller NL begins on June 18, and players start with 600,000 in chips. Dutch pro Jans Arends is the defending champion in the $100K High Roller.
Event #55 $250,000 Super High Roller starts on June 21 and players begin with a deep starting stack worth 1,500,000 in chips. American pro Chris Brewer finally won his first bracelet with a victory in the 2023 WSOP $250K Super High Roller, which paid out nearly $5.3 million.
Event #58 Poker Players Championship begins on June 23. The winner of the $50,000 buy-in mixed-games tournament gets awarded the coveted Chip Reese Trophy. American pro Brian Rast is the defending champion. Rast outlasted a field of 99 entrants and won the $50K PPC for a third time in his career last summer, which also marked his sixth WSOP bracelet victory.
This summer will feature a pair of PLO high rollers. Event #73 $25,000 High Roller PLO is an eight-handed tournament that will last four days starting on June 29. Event #79 $50,000 High Roller PLO begins just before the Main Event on July 2. American pro Jesse Lonis is the defending champion.
At the tail end of the 2024 WSOP, there’s one final high roller and a mixed-games battle royale. Event #96 $25,000 High Roller H.O.R.S.E. kicks off on July 14. This eight-handed event will last three days.
