Eovaldi Strong in Playoffs
Getting the start for the Rangers tonight is Nathan Eovaldi. He’as been fantastic, not only in this year’s postseason, with an ERA under 2.00, but has a career postseason ERA of 2.70.
Plus, the Rangers offense has been one of the best all season and is averaging 6.67 runs over the last three games. They were only able to generate five hits in Game 1 against the Astros with Justin Verlander on the mound and they’ll have another tough matchup with Framber Valdez pitching tonight for Houston, but the Rangers have found success against him this season. In two of the three games they’ve faced him, Texas had five runs (1 ER) on four hits and six runs on eight hits. I like the Rangers to get it done again tonight, and I’m getting the best price on the Texas moneyline. – Kate Constable +100 Rangers
Valdez Strike Out Machine
Valdez has had success with Overs on strike out totals recently. He hit this over in his last five outings with five, seven, 10, five and 10 Ks in those appearances.
The last time he faced the Rangers, he did hit this Under with four, but that’s not so much under this total that I would steer away from him having at least five here.
In the ALCS against the New York Yankees last year, Valdez had a stunning shutout start with nine strikeouts. So, I see him going Over that total here in this ALCS. – Lucy Burdge Valdez Over 4.5 Ks (-150, BetMGM)

Altuve Gets Multiple Bases
Texas will be starting Eovaldi, who has looked quite good so far in these playoffs. He seems to have gotten back on track, which is obviously good news for him and his team, but it’s still concerning to look at this Houston lineup’s history against him.
Current Astros hitters have a .971 OPS as a group against Eovaldi, just crushing him. I’m targeting Jose Altuve today, as he has absolutely destroyed Eovaldi with a 1.078 OPS and five home runs off him in 31 at-bats. – Matt Horner Jose Altuve Over 1.5 total bases (+125)
